Sporting nearly two decades of experience in usability, human factors, and design research, Rob has a deep understanding of how to improve the connection between people and interfaces. He has defined and enriched many types of applications over the years, from mobile apps to complex financial systems to aircraft cockpit displays, all with the same goal: to make design useful and usable.
Rob earned a PhD in Human Factors Psychology from the University of Cincinnati and is a Certified Professional Ergonomist. Rob has presented to leading industry organizations including the Design Research Conference, Human Factors & Ergonomics Society, and the Design Management Institute. He has written for FastCompany.com and Design Bureau (among other sites and publications), and has also appeared on Bloomberg TV.
