The Program Delivery team put together our first Inspire session at Intuitive Company. We are certified in Agile from different institutes, Donamarie is a CSM (Certified Scrum Master), while Cynthia has her PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner.) We wanted to share with our peers some of our Scrum knowledge in a way that wasn’t perfectly scripted (very agile of us). We embraced change, kept documentation light, and included our coworkers in a collaborative activity.
The series dove into the best practices of Scrum, the role of the ScrumMaster, and scrum meeting best practices.
The most fun part of the presentation for us was selecting some of our coworkers to do some improv. They were tasked with each playing a character ie. Negative Ben, Mumbling Sloane, Kieran the Talker, that keeps ScrumMaster Travis from facilitating the meeting.
[Editor’s note: Roles were exaggerated for illustrative purposes and do not reflect those of the participants…except maybe Kieran. He can be loquacious at times]
The improv attempted to demonstrate how the success of scrum really is about the team, and how each member of a scrum team plays a critical part on a sprint’s success.
